My love affair with baking began as a teenager, drawn by the pure joy on people's faces when they tasted something I made. Growing up in a household where both parents were wonderful cooks, I was always in the kitchen, absorbing the magic of creating something delicious from simple ingredients.
While hospitality courses in college gave me confidence and technique, my real passion lies in experimenting, playing with different ingredients and discovering how textures and flavors can blend together to create something that goes beyond traditional expectations. My apple crisp has become something of a legend, but I'm always dreaming up new combinations that surprise and delight.
As a wife, mom, and now a proud country Nana to my granddaughter, I understand how food brings families together and creates lasting memories. From my cottage bakery here in the Connecticut countryside, I pour that same love into every small batch I create. When you taste something I've baked, you're experiencing decades of passion, experimentation, and the simple joy of sharing something sweet with the people you care about.
My philosophy is simple: honor the craft, respect the ingredients, and never compromise on quality. I embrace the careful, deliberate process of traditional baking, allowing proper mixing, precise timing and patient technique to coax the deepest flavors from simple, wholesome ingredients. Whether it's a perfectly tender cupcake, a batch of cookies with just the right chew, or a cinnamon roll with layers of buttery sweetness, each treat that leaves my kitchen represents my commitment to the artistry and care that real baking demands.
